Epic Games announced today that their revolutionary mobile RPG Infinity Blade Trilogy would no longer be available for sale via the iTunes app store on mobile devices. These high-end mobile games raised the bar for what people expected from mobile games upon their release - and remain some of the few truly console-quality games on mobile devices from a graphical perspective. Crafted solely for Apple devices, they were supported for quite a few years and today's announcement comes with a bit of a silver lining to it. Those who already own Infinity Blade III will be able to get updated missions that have already been crafted as well as special items for the near-future.

Epic is also teasing that Infinity Blade could show up elsewhere. While Android users have wanted a native port of the games to that OS for ages, it would seem far more likely that the game would join Fortnite as a top-tier release for the Switch. The wording of the franchise's future being where it wouldn't be expected would seemingly rule out Android, as that would be the logical expectation, while going to the Switch would allow it to shine with other top-notch RPGs like Octopath Traveler. We'll definitely keep an eye out on the future of the series, as it certainly shouldn't go out like this and it looks like Epic does have plans for it in the future.
