While there may not be any current plans for localization, players who are still looking forward to picking up a Japanese copy of Monster Hunter XX will be able to try it out early with a demo coming out in just a little over a week. The demo will feature three quests which includes the flagship monster for the game, Valphalk, in addition to Barioth and the Great Maccao. While the demo doesn’t support online multiplayer, players can try out local co-op if nearby friends download the demo as well.

The Monster Hunter XX demo will be available on August 10 and will require a Japanese Nintendo account in order to download.
