Jenny LeClue is heading to Nintendo Switch after Mografi made the announcement during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase over the past weekend.
The Florida-based independent developer has released a new trailer alongside the news (posted below), with the mystery adventure title already confirmed for release on PlayStation 4 and PC in 2019.
Players are transported to the town of Arthurton and follow the story of Jenny, a young detective who sets off on an adventure to clear her mother’s name after she is accused of murder.
The eagle-eyed detective has the ability to examine the environment around her during dialogue scenes, leaving players to study their subject closely to identify any clues to uncover their true agenda.
Described as the ‘author,’ Arthur K. Finklestein will be the narrator over the course of Jenny’s story. Mografi, however, has said that Finklestein’s presence allows players to make choices that impact both Jenny and the narrator’s story.
The hand-drawn world of Arthurton has a “vintage mid-twentieth century aesthetics and mystery squished into every corner.”
Mografi launched a successful Kickstarter campaign back in July 2014 for Jenny LeClue. At the time of this writing, the title received 3,969 backers on the crowdfunding platform and smashed past its initial $65,000 target by raising $105,797.
