September is fast approaching, which means we gamers are in for a whole truckload of new titles to play. There are so many releases this coming Fall that it makes my head hurt just thinking about it. However, amidst all of the madness comes one game that fans are particularly excited for: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. Square's high-definition re-release of their collaborative effort with Disney has been shown off a handful of times and has made longtime franchise loyalists squeal with delight. The one thing that's been missing in this media frenzy, though, is the game's actual release date. Fortunately, Square's let that cat out of the bag today, finally pinning down a September 10 launch date for North America, and September 13 for Europe.

There's more to this announcement than just a date, however; according to Joystiq, those who pre-order the game through Square's website will be treated to some extra swag, which in this case comes in the form of a fancy, 24-page art book. This limited edition release will be available in "very limited quantities" according to Square Enix, so keep that in mind.

And in case it got lost in the sea of gaming news this year, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX includes both Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Re:Chain of Memories. The cutscenes from 358/2 Days will also be in the bundle, but sadly the whole game will not.
