Grasshopper Manufacture and GungHo Online Entertainment today announced that the free-to-play Let It Die has hacked and slashed its way to over four million downloads worldwide on the PlayStation Store.

The PlayStation 4-exclusive title, which was revealed at E3 2014, was released worldwide in 2016 and 2017 in Japan, having previously been delayed in 2015.

GungHo says that it will kick off its celebration of Let It Die’s milestone on February 27 with a livestream on its official Twitch channel at 7 p.m. PST.

“I am overjoyed that we were able to achieve four million downloads since Let It Die’s release a year ago,” says Kazuki Morishita, CEO of GungHo.

“Thank you to the fans for their continued support and we will continue to produce more content so that Let It Die can be enjoyed for years to come."

Grasshopper and GungHo have collaborated with different developers to bring new content to Let It Die, including a crossover with Gravity Rush 2 and World of Tanks for its one-year anniversary.

Let It Die surpassed over one million downloads last year.

The hack and slash title takes players to a post-apocalyptic Japan where they face off against different enemies in its over-the-top, quirky and ultraviolent world.

In our review for Let It Die, Hardcore Gamer called it “a truly addictive brawler” and that “Suda51’s signature style results in another winner.”
