The Japanese publisher dropped an announcement trailer for the episodic adventure series, which is slated for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam in Japan.

Although an official release date has not been revealed, Square Enix has confirmed the voice actors for the Japanese version of Life Is Strange 2.

Yohei Hamada will play the role of Sean Diaz and Sara Matsumoto will provide the voice for Daniel Diaz.

And Akira Koga will assume the role of Brody Holloway, with Fukumatsu Shingo playing Hank Stamper in Episode 1: Roads.

According to Square Enix, Life Is Strange mascot Hawt Dawg Man is heading to the publisher’s booth at Tokyo Game Show next Thursday, September 12.

The sequel to the critically acclaimed Life Is Strange was initially released in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Feral Interactive, who worked on the ports for Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, will publish Life Is Strange 2 on macOS and Linux.

Players take control of Sean, who is forced to leave his home in Seattle after an incident involving the police. Along with Daniel, the brothers must remain on the run from the police as they attempt to return to their father’s hometown of Puerto Lobos, Mexico.

The penultimate episode of Life Is Strange 2, Episode 4: Faith, was released last month and the fifth and final episode is slated to launch on December 3.

Hardcore Gamer’s review for Episode 4: Faith said it “delivers a fantastic story-focused episode and sets up the perfect springboard for the Diaz brothers’ next stop of Puerto Lobos.”

Our review added: “Sean might have been battered, bruised and forever wounded by his scars, but Life Is Strange 2 charges to the finishing line with significant momentum behind it.”
