LittleBigPlanet 3 to be Fully Backwards Compatible

A Playstation US blog post announced today that all previously purchased DLC for LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet 2 will be available in the world of LittleBigPlanet 3. Accessing older content will be “a simple re-download from LBP3’s in-game store will add your favorite content back into your Popit for use in LittleBigPlanet 3 at no additional cost.”

This is good news for those who have been collecting costumes and stickers for their Sackboy and Sackgirl over the past six years. You will even be able to load every “Costume Piece, Material, Object, Music Track and any other creative goodies that you have collected in your previous adventures with Sackboy will be able to be imported into LittleBigPlanet 3.” The post also announced that players will be able to bring over custom levels from other games. LittleBigPlanet 3 looks like it aims to replace every game in the series.

The game will be exclusively available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and is planned for release in the United States on November 18, 2014.
