One of the biggest MMORPGs on the planet has a slew of different content to dig through, be it trial bosses, deep dungeons, the diverse glamour system and of course raids. The latter has been a big part of the game's identity, mainly because of how tied into the story they are. Heck, the latest Alliance raid focuses on the gods of the world.

Well, the long awaited fourth Ultimate raid is now available for Final Fantasy XIV players. Ultimates are the highest level of difficulty raids in the game, with the original coming out in Stormblood over four years ago. This spiraled into some of the best content in the game, offering players the rewards of fancy looking weapons and titles.

The fourth, Dragonsong's Reprise, takes the award winning story of Heavensward and puts it into a multi-phased raid that could span up to twenty minutes in length. This will no doubt take the hardcore of the hardcore raiders days, if not over a week to complete, the race today only netting players up to the third phase. This is said to be the most difficult raid yet, and it certainly is looking to go in a different director, with even a door boss being implemented for the first two minutes.

Players will need to have completed the Asphodelos: The Fourth Circle (Savage) raid, and it's highly recommended to have a full set of iLevel 600 gear (and the 605 weapon) before attempting this as every little bit of damage, given and taken, is tight.

Final Fantasy XIV and Dragonsong's Reprise is available right now, alongside a couple of changes to job potencies in PvE and PvP.
