Castlevania is one of the most beloved franchises in gaming.  In 2010 it got a 3D reboot for PS3 and Xbox 360 in the form of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.  However, a PC version did not arrive until this year.  Earlier this year Konami announced Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD, a port of the 3DS title for PS3 and Xbox 360.  Once again there was no sign of a PC version.  So, is there no PC version at all?

Well that might not be the case.  PC players may not get the game at the same time as PS3 or Xbox 360 players, but they might eventually get it.

In a series of Tweets from Producer David Cox, he revealed that MercurySteam is looking into a PC version.  When asked if a PC version would be releasing on Friday with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions David Cox replied, "No. We are looking into bringing the game to PC at some point though."

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate takes place before the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and in-between the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.  Players play as Gabriel, Simon, Trevor and Alucard across the game's campaign.

The game launched in March on the 3DS to average reviews.  Hopefully MercurySteam can fix the issues critics had with the original release for its big debut on home consoles.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD is out October 25 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
