Being that the Nintendo Switch is all the rage nowadays, it's understandable that gamers far and wide would speculate as to what its actual games lineup will look like. If the input of famous industry insider Michael Pachter is to be believed, then this lineup will not include perhaps the most anticipated game of the generation thus far, Red Dead Redemption 2.

Speaking with GamingBolt, Pachter's official comments on the matter do not paint a rosy picture for those looking to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on the go:

“I would say the chances of that are exceedingly poor,” he said. “I can’t remember any game other than – there was a GTA made for the DS, which came out in 2009 – I’d be really surprised if they wasted their effort to port anything for Nintendo. I just think that Nintendo has wandered too far away from the mainstream for most of the publishers, so you’re just not getting mainstream games produced for Nintendo consoles- not ones made for other consoles, at any rate.”

Of course, Pachter is known for not always hitting the mark with his bolder claims. Whether or not Red Dead Redemption 2 will end up making its way to the Switch will probably depend on install base, though considering the first title is still not on PC, that's anyone's guess.
