Microsoft has officially revealed the first thirteen original Xbox games getting the backwards compatibility treatment.

The console manufacturer made longtime Xbox fans swoon at E3 2017 when they confirmed that they were working on bringing original Xbox games to the Xbox One backwards compatibility program. Well, we now know what the first batch of games will be, and when they'll be available.

The first thirteen original Xbox games will be available on October 24 and include classic titles like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Ninja Gaiden Black, and Psychonauts. Microsoft has gone the extra mile to update all the titles by enhancing the resolution to a native 1080p, increasing and smoothing the framerates, and improving the loading times. Like with Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles, you can play the games on their original Xbox game disc. For those that don't have a disc, you can grab the game digitally off the Xbox Store for $9.99.

Here are all thirteen games:

  • Black
  • BloodRayne 2
  • Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
  • Dead to Rights
  • Fuzion Frenzy
  • Grabbed by the Ghoulies
  • Ninja Gaiden Black
  • Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
  • Psychonauts
  • Red Faction II
  • Sid Meier's Pirates!
  • Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
  • The King of Fighters Neowave

This is just a taste of what's to come for the Xbox One backwards compatibility program. Microsoft will continue releasing more titles in the coming months and years. We'll be sure to update you whenever Microsoft announces more titles.

Thanks, IGN!
