The Major League Baseball season consists of 162 games. That's a lot of games to try and build a dynasty over multiple years. San Diego Studios is revamping how you play the Franchise Mode in MLB The Show 18. This year, it has been streamlined into different phases of each season. It begins with the Player Draft then transitions to the All-Star break and eventually the playoff run and then the playoffs. Games can be played in full, managed in full, or stopped and picked up during key events. Retro Mode also is playable in Franchise Mode this year. These games are estimated at around 30 minutes a piece. Lastly, players can be locked onto much like Road to the Show and games will last about ten minutes.
