Mortal Kombat made a big splash at last year’s Game Awards with a surprise reveal of the eleventh entry, and Netherrealm’s brutal fighter made another splash at this year’s celebratory event.
The latest update to Mortal Kombat 11 brings a beta for crossplay functionality, which is currently limited to Online Kasual and Krossplay Online matches on PS4 and Xbox One. At this time, no word has been provided on whether crossplay will eventually arrive on the game’s PC, Switch or Stadia versions. Additionally, the next DLC for Mortal Kombat 11 made a brief appearance during last night’s Game Awards, as the footage below shows off the new look and one of the many introductions for Gotham’s clown prince of crime, the Joker, before he debuts on January 28.
