Mortal Kombat X will launch April 14, 2015, and those who pre-order the game at participating retailers will get an extra fighter.

In addition to the April release date, NetherRealm Studios have also confirmed that those who pre-order the game will get Goro as a playable fighter. The four-armed Shokan warrior-prince has been a mainstay in the Mortal Kombat franchise having made his first appearance in the original Mortal Kombat. Players got their chance to play as Goro for the first time in Mortal Kombat 4, and was playable in Mortal Kombat: Deception (Gamecube and PSP only) and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Though players could fight him in Mortal Kombat (2011), Goro was not playable outside of the Challenge Tower.

Mortal Kombat X is the tenth main entry in the franchise, and serves as a sequel to the 2011 reboot. We got to go hands-on with the game at PAX Prime 2014, and found it to be wholly addicting. You'll get to find out how addicting for yourself when the game launches on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
