NA vs EU is back with Rift Rivals 2018

Rift Rivals was introduced last year and pits two regions best teams against each other.

This year Rift Rivals will be taking place at the NA LCS Studio in Los Angeles. The top three teams from the Spring split in NA and EU will be going head to head for regional pride. The group format will be Bo1s while the finals will be a Relay Race Bo5.

What does that mean? Every team plays at least once in a Bo5 series to determine the winning region with the following parameters:

  • The region with more wins from the single round-robin group stage gets to counter pick for the first three games.
  • The final two games of each series will have teams blind pick their team with no chance of counter picks.

The teams competing go as follows:

– NA

  • Team Liquid
  • 100 Thieves
  • Echo Fox

– EU

  • Fnatic
  • G2
  • Splyce

Rift Rivals 2018 is scheduled to take place July 5-7 with Champ Select for the first game starting at 12:30 p.m. PT / 9:30 p.m. CEST. You can find more information here.
