Naughty Dog and PlayStation Studios today dropped new details about the PS5 remasters for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is about a little over a month away from release on PS5 and PC. Containing both Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy, the remastered collection follows Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer as they attempt to uncover centuries old secrets and discover hidden treasure.
As a remaster for PS5, the games boast a number of features that take advantage of the console’s hardware. For graphics, players get three graphical options to choose from:
- Fidelity – 4K resolution running at 30fps
- Performance – Targets 60fps
- Performance+ – Targets 120fps at a 1080p resolution
Other PS5 features include the use of the SSD to nearly eliminate loading times, Spatial 3D audio to immerse yourself into the environments, and DualSense integration. No word yet one what to expect from the PC version.
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection retails for $49.99, but there is an upgrade path for owners of the PS4 games. Anyone who owns Uncharted 4, The Lost Legacy, or the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End & Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10. If you own either game via disc, you will unfortunately need to have the disc inserted into the PS5 every time they want to download or play the PS5 versions. Those who downloaded the game via PS+ are ineligible for the upgrade.
Finally, those who purchase or upgrade before February 3, 2022 will get a voucher code for one standard ticket to see the Uncharted film. Directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, Uncharted hits theatres February 18, 2022.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection launches January 28, 2022 on PS5. No word yet on when the PC version launches.
