Need for Speed Unbound Catch-Up Packs Now Available

EA’s Need for Speed Unbound has continued to have different post race packs that include cars and cosmetic items. Volume 5 released back in October, which offers the most up-to-date content in the game that released nearly a year ago and was developed by Criterion Games. Today, EA has announced that both Volume 3 and Volume 4 are available as Catch-up packs on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Those who missed the previous Volumes will receive the rides and items included in those releases. Both Volumes retail for $9.99 each and contain two cars and more. Need for Speed Unbound can also be found on Black Friday discount at various retailers, currently.

Those looking for the most up-to-date version with Volume 5 will have access to everything from the previous volumes. This includes all 14 Linkup Areas from Volumes 3 and 4 as you join 16 players and compete over four rounds of stunts and drives. Speed Pass sees 75 refreshed free ranks while reaching rank 50 grants a Buick Grand National GNX (1987). Expect more Daily, Weekly and One-Shot Challenges to go with the 150 previously included to earn more XP as you aim to earn a 2023 BMW M2 Coupe. General Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where the “Repair at a gas station during a Gauntlet Playlist” Daily Challenge is notified as completed while in Freedrive and not in a Gauntlet Playlist
  • Fixed an issue in Porsche Playlist where the fireworks were not appearing at the finish area of the second race
  • Fixed a Loaner Car marker didn’t appear in the Event Summary screen across all Playlists
  • Fixed an issue where in some cases the vehicle would move while interacting with another user’s banner
  • Fixed an issue in Porsche Playlist where the car would disappear when deselecting via the Event Car Select menu
  • Fixed a decal issue on the Mercedes G63 (2017) Custom Build where the sticker duplicates on the spoiler and roof at the same time.

Quality of Life Changes

  • Added a Masking Decal functionality to the Wrap Editor
  • Tweaked the cadence and downtime of multiplayer Boosted Events and Linkups
