Nintendo’s official game page for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker shows an updated box art from what was revealed in June at E3. Obviously the major difference here is the glaring yellow background encasing the art, but sharp eyes will catch two subtle differences. In the upper-left corner, the cat-eared Bullet Bill has been replaced by a bird boss, and to the right side we see Toadette, both of whom were recently featured in a new trailer for the game.

This redesign is reminiscent of the treatment given to Bayonetta 2’s box art, in which the original poster design was also smattered in yellow, perhaps to increase shelf visibility during the upcoming holiday shopping season.

In addition to the new box art, two plushies of Captain Toad are now up for pre-order on Japenese site Rakuten with a release estimate of “late December.” The first is simply Captain Toad, while the second is Captain Toad holding a pick-axe and a radish. They are listed at 1,450 yen and 1,860 yen respectively (about $13 and $17 USD).
