The PlayStation 4’s latest system software update has arrived today, June 21.

The patch notes for update 3.55 reveals only one important area being addressed: “This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.”

PS4 users require 286.7MB of free space in order to download the firmware update.

Last month, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a new milestone for the PS4, as the company’s current-gen console had exceeded forty million units sold worldwide.

Meanwhile, Sony Interactive Entertainment president and CEO Andrew House finally acknowledged the existence of the ‘PlayStation 4 Neo,’ also known as PS4.5 or PS4K.

Despite the new and more powerful console not being shown at last week’s E3, a credible source has suggested that PS4 Neo might launch at some point in 2016.
