We have only recently just had a new hero released in Overwatch, but we may not have to wait that long before Blizzard starts dropping teasers for the next one.

In a recent interview, Jeff Kaplan, game director, confirmed that the development team has already finished with the next Overwatch hero. Meaning theme, abilities, lore, and gameplay aspects are all completed. All that is left to do is work on the art for the hero and fine tuning and bugs and balance issues.

"I absolutely know who the next hero is going to be" Kaplan said to IBTimes UK. "The next hero is very far along in development, so we're at the point where we are doing art fo the hero, we're doing alot of agressive play testing"

Later on in the interview, Kaplan seemed to dodge a question with regards to the new hero being more defensive oriented. Kaplan responded, "no, it's not safe to assume that."

Overwatch usually has a three or four months release window for new heroes. Orisa, the latest hero release only came out last month so we should really be expecting this new hero to arrive in June/July if we are to follow the same trend.

Stay tuned to Hardcore Gamer as teasers and leaked images arrive sooner rather than later.
