Nintendo Confirm More DLC Fighters Coming for Smash Bros. Ultimate

If recent announcements are anything to go by, Nintendo have always found inventive ways to tease, excite or generally screw with their fans in a light-hearted fashion. Particularly when it comes to the latest news surrounding Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, specifically who else would be joining the roster in the form of DLC fighters. With the unveiling of Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard as the fourth DLC fighter, it initially seemed that fans’ wishes for their desired character in Smash, would be down to one final opportunity.

But it looks like Nintendo had other plans; shortly after Terry’s reveal, it was confirmed that more fighters will be planned for development following the release of the fifth (and originally-suspected, final) character. These additional characters however will not be part of the current Fighters Pass, indicating that players will need to purchase an additional pass if they hope to get the next series of challengers. But needless to say, rumor and speculation as to who else will be debuting in Smash, will be continuing on way into 2020.
