The Nintendo Switch has been a huge success since its launch in 2017. The ability to play at home or on the go without losing a step is fascinating. Now, the Switch is receiving some tweaks and relaunching as Switch Lite.
This version of the system is strictly for handheld play as it will not be able to connect to your television. The Joy-Con are built into the sides which helps keep it all as one piece. Some features have changed such as a directional pad instead of directional buttons, the removal of rumble effect and others. The Switch Lite is still able to support every game developed for the Switch. However, some may require additional accessories such as 1-2-Switch. There are currently three different colors revealed as well as a special version for Pokémon Sword and Shield featuring the legendary Pokémon Zamazenta and Zacian.
Check out the informational video announcement below. The Switch Lite will cost $199.99 and is scheduled to release on September 20 while the Pokémon one comes November 8.
#NintendoSwitchLite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition will also be available beginning 11/8, while supplies last. This special edition is just in time for the holidays and the release of #PokemonSwordShield on 11/15. pic.twitter.com/IG0skYmQB9
