This has been a weird few months for Valve and indie developers. Over the past few months, a variety of games were barred from releasing despite not appearing to break any rules. Many were visual novels, and many included some form of sexual content.

Niplheim's Hunter - Branded Azel was one such title. A Valve contact went so far as to tell the developers they needed to remove an entire character before they would allow it on Steam. Of course, the developer wasn't about to acquiesce. As of now, however, Valve changed their minds stating this was a misunderstanding on their part.

As such, Niplheim's Hunter - Branded Azel just released on Steam today without any edits or censoring of content. It's discounted during launch week down to $13.99.
