NVIDIA has announced its next-generation of cloud gaming on GeForce NOW. This will deliver GeForce RTX 3080 performance in a new high-performance membership tier for the service. This is the largest generation leap in GeForce NOW history, as each GeForce NOW SuperPOD consists of over 1,000 GPUs that deliver over 39 petaflops of graphics power. Each instance is 35 teraflops, which is nearly 3x that of an Xbox Series X. Games can run up to 1440p on PC and Mac clients, 4K HDR on NVIDIA SHIELD, and up to 120 FPS in the PC, Mac and Android apps.

The membership allows exclusive access to the RTX 3080 cloud gaming rigs. These are configured with AMD Threadripper PRO CPUs, 28 GB of DDR-3200 memory and PCI-GEN4 SSDs. GeForce NOW also reduces system latency and syncs frames to provide the smoothest cloud gameplay with the lowest measured end-to-end latency. Those streaming at 120 FPS will observe the best benefits through high frame rate synchronization. In the lowest latency mode, members can expect pings as low as 60ms.

GeForce NOW RTX 3080 is available for pre-order now if you are a Founders or Priority member. Six month memberships cost $99.99 with availability in North America beginning in November and Europe in December. Pre-orders will open to everyone later this month and pending availability as quantities are limited. Priority memberships are available at $9.99 per month and provide access to performance rigs that turn on Ray Tracing and offer extended session lengths and faster access to gaming servers.
