The company that has made its name with computer hardware has announced that it’s now getting into the audio world. NZXT is offering a headset along with a mixer and a stand with a focus on hi-res certifications and automatic switching between headphones and speakers. The AER Series of lightweight headsets weighs in at just 291 grams with Hi-Res certified audio drivers and two designs available – the AER and AER Open. The AER provides enclosed audio and a bass boost while the AER Open will boost midrange audio and natural sound for environmental awareness. These will have a modular design that makes the microphone interchangeable to both sides of the headset while a 1.8 meter audio cable can easily be removed for accessibility. The AER’s will offer Nahimic 7.1 surround sound via a USB connection with the NZXT Cam software suite.
For precision audio mixing, the NZXT MXER is a studio-grade device that will allow players to truly control that Nahimic 7.1 surround sound. Using Wolfson DAC, the digital to audio conversion will be extremely accurate. With automatic switching, players can place the headset on NZXT STND and audio will automatically return to the system. The AER headsets retail for $129.99, the MXER for $99.99 and the STND for $49.99.
