2016 marks the 20th anniversary of Parappa the Rapper and now the rhythm based game series is getting a new anime this fall. The anime series will be called PJ Berri no Mogu-Mogu Munya-Munya and the pilot will air on television for Japanese audiences on August 18 with the following episodes starting in October.
This isn’t Parappa’s first foray into anime as there was a series that ran from 2001 to January of 2002. It never received an English dub and dropped the rap in favor of presenting material appropriate for children. In relation, Parappa the Rapper 2 was made available on PlayStation Network for PS4 last December.
