Persona 5S Finally Revealed To Be a Warriors Game

Every single Persona fan was eagerly awaiting the announcement of the “Persona 5S” project, but instead of getting an on-the-go port, we are treated to something different. Titled Persona 5 Scramble: Phantom Strikers, this isn’t the Switch port fans had come to expect, but instead a Musou (Warriors) game from Koei Tecmo and Omega Force.

You will play as Joker (and presumably other characters from Persona 5) as he takes down hundreds of enemies on screen with his unique gunplay ability. It will feature similar mechanics to the other Warriors games, but with a Persona 5 twist on the art style and combat.

Of course because this isn’t what gamers were expecting, the reception has been fairly mixed. On one hand, we’ll gladly take more Persona 5; on the other hand, we’re still waiting for that Switch port that no doubt would do very well.

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers will be out on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch at an undisclosed date.
