Way back in 2014 Microsoft unveiled that they were working on a reboot of the 2005 action collectible card game Phantom Dust. While it's been almost three years since then and that new title has been cancelled, a re-release of the original 2005 game is heading to Xbox One and Windows PC tomorrow free of charge.

According to Head of Xbox Games marketing Aaron Greenburg on Twitter, the game will be available, presumably at midnight, on the Xbox One and Windows game store pages for free.

The surprise release announcement comes after a few months of teasing about the game which will have an updated resolution as well as cross play functionality between Xbox One and PC.
