Philips Hue is currently integrated for gamers on PC thanks to Razer Synapse. RGB lights that tie into games with certain ones having profiles that react specifically to actions. Unless you had a stream card and went an extra mile, this was impossible for console gamers.

Now, Philips has announced a HDMI Sync Box to integrate the Hue technology with HDMI equipment. This can include Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Blu-ray players and game consoles. Lighting will be controlled through the Philips Hue app. The box retails for $229.99 and will release on October 15 on the official Hue website or October 20 at Best Buy.
