Physical copies of the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man have sold out on Amazon ahead of its release this week.

Insomniac Games’ PlayStation 4 exclusive has climbed the US Amazon store as one of its best sellers, with both the standard and Collector’s Edition no longer available for pre-order. That doesn’t apply to the Digital Deluxe Edition, however, as it remains available for $79.99.

Over on the UK store, the title is still in stock and retails at £49.99.

It is unclear if Amazon plans to restock the US store before the title's launch. Hardcore Gamer has reached out to the online retailer for comment and will update this story as soon as we hear back.

James Stevenson, the community director ‏at Insomniac Games, took to Twitter to share news of the title’s early success.

The studio’s latest title debuted back at Sony's E3 press conference in 2016 and has been met by widespread praise from critics.

Hardcore Gamer’s review said that the developer “perfectly captures Peter Parker’s comical bravado, all the while establishing a world ripe for its own unique expansion. In the end, Marvel’s Spider-Man is the most realized Spider-Man game yet.”

It has been confirmed that the title will introduce Photo Mode as part of a day-one update, while the first main piece of DLC has been revealed ahead of its full retail release.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is slated to launch on September 7.
