Limited Run Games has been teasing one last big announcement for a release by year's end and it's finally been revealed to be the adventure game Firewatch.  Campo Santo posted the news on its Twitter feed earlier today, verifying the game would be out by year's end, which somehow leaves tiny little window of only six weeks.  Firewatch was one of 2016's high points, snagging a 4.5 (out of 5) in Matt's review back in February, noting an exceptionally strong story and fantastic art design.  It's actually kind of surprising that the game is getting a limited run rather than a larger release, although coming out ten months after launch might have something to do with it.

Firewatch is confirmed for December, probably at $24.99 but still up in the air as to final pricing and a specific release date.  The LRG version comes with a full-color double sided fold-out map of Shoshone National Forest, and is fully patched to the latest version which includes PS4 Pro support.  While Firewatch is PS4, PC, and Xbox One, only Sony gets the physical edition because of its nearly-nonexistent minimum print run requirements.

At this point that means that, for the year's end, Limited Run Games has four more releases on the way.  Stealth Inc.: A Clone in the Dark Ultimate Edition comes out on PS4 and Vita on 11/25, while Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut (PS4 and Vita again) is some time in December.  Also in December is Oddworld: Strangers Wrath for Vita, and finally Firewatch is in there somewhere too.  Basically, December is packed.
