A few weeks back, Nintendo suddenly ceased the physical part of their Club Nintendo reward program, pledging to return on May 13. While this was likely due to fallout over sending the wrong size t-shirt to multiple purchasers, many were hoping it would be to improve the reward offerings to be more in line with the Japanese and European programs. Now, a day early, rewards have returned and participants can now redeem their coins for, well, the same exact things as when it went away.

That's right, it's the same 14 "leftover" items that have been circulating around the store for numerous months (outside of the aforementioned Yoshi's New Island T-shirt) with no other additions:

Bummer for those with coins expiring next month hoping to now be forced into ordering several Pikmin tote bags.

Along with the physical store relaunch, digital games were also added today, including Super Metroid, Kirby's Adventure, Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters and Mario Kart 64, all priced at 200 coins besides Mario Kart, which runs 250.
