Digital copies of Pokemon Sun and Moon are available now for pre-load ahead of the game's launch.

Pokemon Sun and Moon, the seventh-generation Pokemon games, are almost here. In fact, those who have already pre-purchased the game digitally will be able to pre-load the game, ensuring they can begin playing the moment the game goes live.

Pre-loading is available right now for players in North America, Japan, Australia, and select European countries. For Europe, where the game doesn't launch until November 23, those who pre-purchase and pre-load from the eShop will receive 12 Quick Balls as a gift. You'll need at least 3.2GB of space to properly download and install. The time the game will unlock on launch day has not been revealed.

Pokemon Sun and Moon are the hotly anticipated new entries in the long-running franchise, and will make some big changes. The games take place in Alola, which is heavily based on Hawaii. There will be no more Gym Leaders, and the latest trailer seems to indicate that there will no Elite Four. However, it does look like players will be able to team up with famous trainers from previous games including Red and Blue.

Pokemon Sun and Moon are out November 18 in North America.
