Pokémon fans are anticipating the release of Sword and Shield this November. But before we get there some news is to be announced on August 7. We can’t get enough but what could we expect from the news?

A post was made to Pokémon’s social media accounts of a Galar Research Update. What that means could be a number of things. Instead of focusing on new Pokémon it could reveal more about the different features in the game. Dynamaxing, the Galar region as a whole or various locations may be part of the update. The gif used shows a trainer stepping into the arena, so that could be a big part of the news. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to see some brand new Pokémon, perhaps even evolved forms of the starters!
