Off the back of what's been a universally positive reception for Persona 5, [the now] known video game soundtrack retailer iam8bit has announced that Atlus' latest entry in the popular JRPG series will be making its way onto LP vinyl format. The above header says steal your wallet, as a physical copy of the soundtrack won't come cheap unfortunately. Two editions will be available for fans to purchase: the Essential Edition, which contains selected tracks across four LPs and the Deluxe Edition featuring the game's entire soundtrack across six records.

The asking price for either edition will be $100 and $175 respectively with the latter having a limited pressing of 1,000. While iam8bit have not revealed any sleeve artwork for the product, they have announced alongside that a documentary -- which will cover the process of making the actual records, from mastering to packaging to making the actual artwork itself -- is currently in the works. The soundtrack will begin shipping sometime in the forth quarter of this year. Pre-orders for either edition will open on iam8bit's official store today at 10AM PDT.
