Slightly Mad Studios, the folks behind the racing MMO World of Speed, have announced that their crowd funded darling, Project CARS, will see Morpheus support. "Virtual reality is a perfect fit for racing games since the game world literally comes rushing towards you from the distance and the increased sense of depth and speed that stereoscopic vision affords you makes this incredibly real and tangible."

The project will also support the Oculus Rift, though no updates were provided since the Facebook acquisition. Slighty Mad suggests "players are going to be blown away by Project Morpheus" and that it's "going to allow you to experience every start light, every corner, every finish line now through the driver’s eyes like never before."

Virtual Reality seems to be arriving at an alarming rate. Are you excited?
