At GDC this year, Sony announced that they will be bringing their official VR headset to the PlayStation 4 in the first half of 2016. It was originally a prototype they were experimenting with, but now that we have a time period they're (hopefully) committing to, it should provide even more anticipation for the fast developing VR future.

In addition, the headset has received a number of upgrades since they first showed it off:

  • 5.7" 1920x1080 OLED display
  • 120hz Refresh Rate
  • Super Low Latency
  • More Accurate Tracking
  • User-Friendly Design
