In a blog post earlier today, publisher tinyBuild has made a few interesting announcements.  Along with a solid release date for Android (January 28), the publisher has also detailed a "major update" to be released in "about a month".

"A ton of stuff didn’t get into the release version of Punch Club. This will be fixed. A large content update is in the works, adding additional story.  It will take about a month and will be awesome."

In the same blog post, a console release is teased. Not a whole lot was revealed, however, with the only details being "You want consoles? We'll talk about it very soon!"

tinyBuild has also announced initial numbers of more than 100,000 sales made within ten days. With over one million dollars in revenue raised in that period, the team's unusual strategy of releasing the game upon its completion by Twitch Plays seems to have been a successful one.  The game, which has been positively received, has surprised many with its originality. Perhaps this launch model is one that will be followed by more studios in the future.

Punch Club was released on January 8 for PC and iOS.  You can read our review of Punch Club here.
