Razer has announced that its gaming laptop line, the Razer Blade 14, will now be receiving some upgrades. The two Blade 14 GPU configurations, the NVIDIA RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 Ti will now have the option for a Mercury colorway. This adds to the already black and quartz options that were available, previously. A software update will be available for 2022 models that upgrades the two USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports to USB-4 along with support for Microsoft Pluton. This will expand peripheral compatibility along with enabling multi-monitor deployments, support for Thunderbolt peripherals and more. Microsoft Pluton will protect users with hardware-based security capabilities. New and existing 2022 Blade 14 owners will need to contract Razer Support for this update. The Mercury option is available now from Razer's website and RazerStore locations. These do include the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor.
