Razer has announced that it's bringing back a gaming legend with the Razer Blade 14 gaming laptop. This dawns a 14" display that shows off QHD resolution with 165hz refresh rate. Along with per-key Razer Chroma and THX Spatial Audio, there will be a few different models available for gamers. There will also be a 1080p display with 144hz refresh rate available. Both displays are IPS and feature AMD FreeSync. The Blade 14 will also be ultra thin with chassis dimensions of 0.66” x 8.66” x 12.59”. The Blade 14 returns for the first time in three years as Razer has entered a partnership with AMD. The Blade 14 will include an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, which will provide the fastest gaming performance in the class. This processor features 8 cores and 16 threads at 3.3 GHz base speed and 4.6 GHz max boost. This will be a hoss for a mobile gaming setup. The laptop will also include up to 12 hours of battery life, and mixed with the cooling, the Blade 14 with the AMD processor could change how mobile gaming is handled going forward.

There will be three graphics cards available to choose from to maximize gaming and creativity. NVIDIA RTX 30 Series cards are available ranging from the 3060 and 3070 to the 3080. The GeForce RTX 30 series cards utilize Max-Q technologies including Dynamic Boost, Whisper Mode 2.0 and a resizable BAR to remain silent but still perform. This also includes the latest Ray Tracing technology and DLSS 2.0. These GPUs are offered at the 100 W TGP option.

To complete the build, the Blade 14 will come armed with 16GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM. For storage, the Blade 14 will include a 1 TB SSD using M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0. There's also a HDMI 2.1 output port on the laptop along with 2x USB-A and 2X USB-C ports and a display port. The Razer Blade 14 starts off at $1,799.99 and is available now from Razer.com and select retailers.

“When we introduced the Blade 14 in 2013, Razer challenged the industry to think bigger, yet smaller. The original Blade 14 revolutionized the mobile gaming landscape, earned laptop of the decade, and brought us to where we are today,” said Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Razer’s Systems Business Unit. “The new Blade 14 aims to shake up the industry once again by combining Razer’s decade worth of experience in crafting ultra-compact and high-end gaming machines with the power and efficiency of AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors. We are thrilled to bring the ultimate mobile gaming experience to gamers with the Razer Blade 14.”

“As gamers demand lighter and more powerful form factors in gaming laptops, we have remained committed to our goal of delivering best-in-class mobile processors for premium OEM designs,” said Saeid Moshkelani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Client Business Unit, AMD. “We are excited to collaborate with Razer, for the first time ever, by powering the Razer Blade 14 with the best mobile processors we have developed for gaming, the Ryzen 5000 H-Series Mobile Processors.”

Razer has also announced a new charging dock with the Razer USB-C GaN Charger. This is Razer's first Gallium Nitrade charging device and it offers up to 130W of power to be dispersed between two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. GaN technology is more efficient in terms of size and power delivery when compared to a traditional silicon brick. It provides increased thermal performance while minimizing over-heating and short circuiting issues. This is available for $179.99 at Razer and Razer Store today.
