Razer has announced a new gaming monitor as part of its Raptor line. This new gaming monitor will be the world's first THX Certified gaming monitor. The new Razer Raptor 27 has undergone more than 400 tests to ensure color, tone and images are displayed as the creators intended. The Raptor 27 boasts 2560 x 1440p resolution with 165hz refresh rate and supports both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC adaptive synchronization technology. It will also offer a 95 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and a HDR400 display that will offer deep blacks and vibrant colors for gamers.

The Raptor 27 will retain its popular design with the matte black finish and the forged aluminum base. The monitor features built-in cable management on the rear of the unit and is encompassed with Razer Chroma RGB with up to 16.8 million colors and a variety of lighting effects. Customization can be done via the Razer Synapse 3 software and this also includes adjusting the color, contrast and brightness for the display. The THX Certification will push the already excellent visual fidelity from the Raptor 27 to its maximum. The new Razer Raptor 27 is available for pre-order today via Razer. It retails for $799.99 and will be available at select retailers at a later date. You can check out our review of the previous Razer Raptor 27 here.

Razer has also announced that it is releasing a new VESA mounting adaptor for multi-monitor setups. This adaptor will be sold separately and is designed to mount on multiple Raptor monitors. This ultra slim plate will provide a VESA compatible mounting plate to the rear of the Raptor monitor. This will allow the Raptor to be used in multi-monitor configurations. This adapter is available now for $99.99 exclusively via Razer.
