The original Viper mouse from Razer was a favorite for eSports gamers, and the hardware company just announed its updated version with the Viper V2 Pro. Improving on many aspects of the mouse, the biggest change comes in with the weight. The Viper V2 Pro checks in at only 58 grams and combining that with HyperSpeed Technology, the Viper V2 Pro is one of the lightest wireless gaming mice there is. The shape has been altered based on the feedback from prominent eSports players.

Other upgrades coming to the Viper V2 Pro include removing the two right side buttons to help limit weight while improving the two left side buttons. Complaints about the two left side buttons being "too flushed" have been addressed. The shape of the PTFE feet have also been redesigned along with a change to the mechanical design of the L/R key covers. Razer Chroma RGB has also been removed so the focus of the mouse is purely on being ultra-lightweight and low profile.

Outside of the design changes, Razer has added its latest 30K optical sensor to the mouse. It will also include gen-3 optical switches and an upgraded battery that is lighter and more efficient. The life is rated at 80 hours, and 10 hour improvement over the previous model. Some of these changes allow for 99.8% accuracy and the ability to use the mouse on glass surface that is 2mm thick. The AI that helps to back the tracking has also seen an improvement to precision by updating the Assymetric Cut-off feature. The Razer Viper V2 Pro retails for $149.99.
