Razer helds its annual RazerCon 2022 over the weekend as CEO Min-Liang Tan showcased newly announced products for the company. These are a wide arrange of products that are highlighted by the 5G Handheld Gaming Device the Razer Edge. This is the world's first 5G gaming device that will offer thousands of compatible AAA games from day one. These are games native to Android and it also features pre-installed launchers such as Epic Games, Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now. It will also feature remote play options for full access to PC libraries like Steam Link, Moonlight and Parsec. It features a 6.8" AMOLED display with a 144hz refresh rate running at 2400x1080 FHD+ resolution. This is 87% more pixels than competitive devices.

The Edge will offer the latest Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 Gaming Platform which is designed specifically for the best gaming performance on the go. Powering the platform is a 3Ghz octa-core Kryo CPU and Adreno GPU that is backed by a 5000mAh capacity battery for long battery life. It is exclusive to Verizon, but pricing has not been made available yet. The Razer Edge Wi-Fi will be available in January for $399.99, however, and that is exclusive to Razer and RazerStore locations. Both versions will come bundled with the Razer Kishi V2 Pro, which will offer Razer HyperSense and a 3.5mm audio port on the controller. Users can expect microswitches in the face buttons and D-pad for tactical response and instant actuation.

Razer has also announced its latest headset with the Kraken Kitty V2 Pro and is now even offering a Blue Screen for streaming. Since Razer's iconic color is green, the designers wanted to go with another color since this could cause issues with creating backgrounds while streaming. The Kraken Kitty V2 Pro is a Razer Chroma RGB wired headset that offers interchangeable kitty, bear and bunny ears that are all included in the box. It will include a detachable Razer HyperClear cardioid microphone, their TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers with 7.1 digital surround sound and a hybrid fabric and leatherette cushioning. This will be available in Q4  for $199.99 at Razer's website, RazerStores and select retailers. The Blue Screen, which is height-adjustable up to 94", is available now for $159.99 from the website and store.

Razer is bringing two audio options to PlayStation 5 users that match the look of the console. The Razer Kaira X is a wired headset designed for the PlayStation 5. There are also wireless multi-platform versions to go along with this with the Kaira HyperSpeed and Kraira Pro HyperSpeed. 30 hours of battery life are expected from the wireless versions with an ultra-fast 2.4GHz connection along with the TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers and the HyperClear Supercardiod ENC microphone. These are all officially licensed by PlayStation with the X starting at $59.99, the HyperSpeed at $129.99, and the Pro HyperSpeed at $199.99. They are all available now from the Razer site or select retailers. The other officially licensed PlayStation option comes in the form of Razer's earbuds. The Hammerhead HyperSpeed is powered by Razer Chroma RGB and boasts 30 hours of battery life that includes environmental noise cancelling microphones. The white, blue and black aesthetic will also match the PS5 console as it includes 2.4GHz gaming grade wireless connectivity or Bluetooth 5.2. A USB-C dongle is included with the package. There is an Xbox version also going along with this as both will be available in November for $149.99.

The last few things announced during RazerCon 2022 are a bit more outside of the box. Razer's heralded quartz aesthetic is being added to the Barracuda, Huntsman, BlackShark, Orochi and Strider later this month. Razer also teamed up with Panerai to unveil the Luminor Quaranta Razer Special Edition, which is a watch with Razer's fabled green and black aesthetic. The company also expanded on its chair lineup with the Razer Enki Pro Automovili Lamborghini Edition, which starts at $1,299 and will be available in December. Finally, Razer is adding a new wallpaper app that integrates with Razer Chroma devices. Razer Axon can incorporate wallpapers from users and manage a playlist, and it works with multiple monitors. The first 10,000 users to download and redeem the code #RAZERCON2022 will receive a set of limited-edition RazerCon 2022 wallpapers.
