Recently, the Nintendo World store in New York City shut its doors for construction. A month later, it reopened for business as Nintendo New York.

At the opening ceremony yesterday, people lined up for blocks to get a look at the new retail store and get a chance to play Nintendo games with fellow New Yorkers. Luckily for us, the internet allows us to take a tour of Nintendo NY without leaving our desks. Check out some of the first photos from the Grand Opening below:

Nintendo NY is located in the Rockefeller building in New York City. It has a 15 foot screen with a Wii U hooked up to it, a case showing the evolution of the Game Boy/DS family and a huge selection of clothing and toys (and amiibo, of course) available for purchase. It's also the only place to buy a Gamecube controller adapter for your Wii U without ordering it online.
