Release Date Revealed For Dice-Based Roguelike Dicey Dungeons

With so many recent roguelike games being built around cards and deck-building, some of you may want a nice change of pace. So how about a roguelike built around dice instead? We’ve already discussed how Terry Cavanagh’s Dicey Dungeons is shaping up to be a rather clever and challenging game, also saying we can’t wait to get addicted to it. Well, it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer. Dicey Dungeons is now set to come out next month, as announced by Cavanagh and as seen in the tweet below.

Taking place on a sadistic game show run by Lady Luck, the game sees you playing as one of six characters/classes, transformed into a die and having to compete in a series of RPG battles where combat is based around dice rolls. To wake it to the end, our contestants will have to try and properly manage their rolls each turn…or try and find various ways to make luck work in their favor. Dicey Dungeons comes out for PC an August 13, and should definitely be worth checking out.
