Last year, Remedy Entertainment announced two new projects set in the universe of their latest title Control; a multiplayer spinoff codenamed Condor, and a bigger budget title simply known as Heron.

At the time, many speculated that Heron was a sequel to Jesse Faden’s first adventure through the Oldest House, and Remedy has now confirmed as much in a formal announcement alongside co-developer and co-publisher 505 Games. Officially titled Control 2, no story details have been shared, but the game will utilize Remedy’s proprietary Northlight engine and be published by Remedy on PC and by 505 Games on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upon its release. Game Director of the Control Franchise Mikael Kasurinen reiterated that “it’s still early days” as the sequel is currently in the concept stage, but he did share the first concept art for Control 2 which can be seen below.
