More than a month after it was meant to release alongside Resident Evil Village, Capcom's latest venture into competitive online multiplayer in their famed survival-horror series, with Resident Evil Re:Verse, has been confirmed to release next month. It follows a less-than-favourable reception during its beta phase.

Additionally -- and perhaps the more exciting of the two news pieces to come out of today's Capcom Showcase that's Resident Evil-related -- is the announcement that Village will be getting DLC. Whether this pertains to the main story of Village, or is in fact an extension of the Mercenaries mode, is unclear. That's literally all we got today: a confirmation that it's in development, but nothing more. Resident Evil Village is out now across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One & PC.
