Resogun became an indie boom at the launch of the Playstation 4. Its marvelous visual flair and addictive retro-inspired gameplay made many fans, and with a rush of new DLC on the way, and now PS3 and Vita owners will be able to join the frantic firefight very soon.

Resogun has been confirmed to release for PS3 and PS Vita in North America on December 23 for $14.99 and even earlier on December 17 in Europe. The port will be helmed by Climax Studios as opposed to the original developer Housemarque. Even better, the game will feature cross-save features for transferable save data, along with cross-buy, so both games come packaged with a single payment. PS4 owners have even more luck as the PS3 and Vita versions of Resogun will be free to original owners of the PS4 version.

The Vita version will also include ad-hoc co-op and customizable controls with the buttons and touch controls.

The only major caveat to the move is moving the gorgeous 60fps to a lock 30fps on PS3 and Vita, but really, it's a minor complaint for any otherwise exciting port. Check out the trailer below and get ready for another wild ride.
