Like Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved for the Xbox 360, Resogun provided some twin-stick shooting thrills that stole the show for the PS4’s launch. After a variety of free updates and DLC that greatly expanded the replay value, a full-blown expansion pack (think Wipeout Fury for Wipeout HD) will be coming soon. Alongside Defenders will be a new content update codenamed Challengers that gives you new challenge missions. Defenders itself wasn’t really detailed much despite seemingly being fairly far along in development, but it will at least have a mode where you’re on the ground level and are able to move much faster as a person running around shooting things. No release date or pricing was announced, but with both The Game Awards and the PlayStation Experience coming soon, more details should be forthcoming shortly.
