The highly anticipated Retro Freak console is due for release tomorrow, October 31. Well, sort of.  Unless you are one of the lucky customers that preordered the console before September 1, you won’t be able to get a Retro Freak console in your hands until the middle of December (at the earliest).

This is due to the overwhelming demand for the console that can play more than 9000 games across 11 different systems.  Another extremely interesting feature of the niche console is the ability to rip games from their original cartridges and store them on the console with the use of an SD card.

The standard Retro Freak (US$ 169.99) ships with the console, cartridge adapter, a single controller (SNES style), HDMI cable, and AC adapter.  It is also possible to order an original controller adapter (US$ 54.99), making it possible to use a variety of retro controllers.   As of yet, there is no option to buy an English language console.  Retro Freak is only available in Japanese.  So get that google translate app ready.

Both versions will be compatible with modern gamepads “such as DualShock 3 and DualShock 4).

Retro Freak is available for order here.  Just don't expect your console to ship anytime soon.
